Moosey On Inn is located in Island Park, Idaho. It is only 45 minutes away from West Yellowstone and located on the shores of the reservoir.
If you’re looking into Island Park cabins, Moosey on Inn is truly your best choice. It is more of a rental lodge with enough room to allow all guests to feel free to come and go. The lake is just outside the cabin, with great fishing off the boat docks. There is a three port boat dock provided for our guests. The cabin is surrounded with pine trees and situated to watch the sunrise each morning. As the sun rises over the lake it is truly breathtaking. What makes us different from other Idaho rental cabins is that we really have something to offer for all of guests – no matter age or interests they may have.
For photographers, it is a paradise. There are many animals that use this area to get their morning water, which is a pleasure to capture on film.
We have inner tubes in the garage for your enjoyment. You can use them for the snow, or to go river running. The trip below the dam to Last Chance is said to be a great trip. Snowmobilers are thrilled with being able to zip across the lake once it is frozen, and then connecting to hundreds of miles of trails. A couple of these trails will take you into West Yellowstone. The beauty and fresh air are not found so easily elsewhere.
The fishing just below the Island Park dam is known as a destination fishing location. It is always filled with trout ready for you to catch. Actually, fishing at our boat dock has been found to be a very successful fishing hole!
Harriman State Park is just down the road, and is also a destination spot. Many wild animals live in this reserve and there are many activities to enjoy there. Horseback riding, sleigh rides, night dinners with hay rides, snow skiing (not downhill), etc.
Playmill Theater in West Yellowstone is always a treat, and there is also a theater in Mack's Inn only 15 minutes from Moosey On Inn.
Snowmobiling is beautiful all winter long. The snow is sweet! The trails are awesome and so available! ATV enthusiasts will also find a great time on the trails found throughout Island Park. Hikers will find much joy in the trails. The roads coming into Moosey On Inn are paved.
There are many restaurants in the area and they can be enjoyed by all.
The nearby rivers have canoe rentals, water paddle boats, and are not too deep to just play in.
If watching movies is a favorite past time, we have many movies recorded on our DVR. We only record PG13 and lower movies for all to enjoy. There are also many good movies to watch in DVD and VCR form.
We do have a fireplace outside for cookouts, and campfire sing-alongs. If you want to stay in one of the most premier Yellowstone vacation homes, contact Moosey On Inn to book your stay today!
