We liked the signs nailed to the trees on the way in. Each family had a separate room. Some of the guests stayed in the closets! Overall it was splendid! Thanks so much.

Moosey On Inn is the perfect place to relax or be active! We are one of the most conveniently located Idaho cabin rentals in Island Park, Idaho, which is a destination only 40 miles from West Yellowstone. The cabin sleeps up to 22 in a spacious, luxury vacation home. The snow is deep and the roads are plowed all the way to our vacation home

Our Yellowstone vacation home is open year round and it is beautiful in all seasons. It is a winter wonderland of fun in the snow. Island Park usually has 2 to 4 feet of snow by Christmas. It is wonderful soft and beautiful snow for all of you who enjoy playing in it. It is a joy to be outdoors. It is also a pleasure for those of you who like to be in the mountains but not outside, at Moosey On Inn. It is warm and cozy inside with all the amenities needed for everyone!

Snowmobiling and 4 wheeling trails are all over the mountains! Most trails start only a short distance away and lead throughout the area. They even take you all the way into West Yellowstone. Rentals are available at many businesses in Island Park and West Yellowstone. There are all kinds of snowmobiling trails for all levels of abilities. Snowmobiles are able to ride from the cabin across the reservoir to connect to over 300 miles of trails. Incredible powder rides about 5 minutes from the cabins that are just off the trails. About 15 minutes from the cabin are black mountain tails, mountainous and ready for climbing.

Cross country skiing is available all throughout the area. Including the paved roads in our neighborhood, and all throughout the mountains around us!

Harriman State Park is located just minutes away from us. It is filled with wildlife, tubing, cross country ski trails.

West Yellowstone is only 45 minutes away! A wonderful day trip and well worth the ride to see the wonders of Yellowstone Park. Bears, wolves, buffalo, elk, deer, goose and ducks just to name a few of the wild animals you could see. The Old Faithful still is being faithful and is awesome to watch! Enjoy the stores there too. Snowmobiles are rented here and you can still enjoy a ride through this winter wonderland for a spectacular view of the park.

Unlike other Island Park cabins, for Christmas we decorate the cabin for your enjoyment. If you want to feel the spirit of Christmas, but don’t want to do the work, just come on up. We will do it for you! Spending Christmas at Moosey On Inn is a special event indeed! There is room for everyone, and Santa Claus has been known to find all our guests there so far!

The magic of looking at the decorations on the inside, and seeing the beauty provided for you by nature, is truly something that is remembered for a lifetime!

Whether you spend your winter here at Christmas or any other time it is a fantastic sight to behold. The snow here is usually deep and fun. It is worth being up here just to see how much fun your group can have, either inside or outside, in this part of the world that we feel is just a little piece of Heaven.
